Map of a story place
I thought you might like to see my son Isak’s original map of Joel’s bush block, later adapted for the A&U publication. I love it. It’s in a frame now, and comes with me to book chats and signings.
He drew it for me after seeing my rough-as-rough-can-be mud map of what was where for my editor.
Do you like seeing maps of worlds or places in novels?
My Aunty Pam who was very into books, and fabulous at reading aloud, gave me a book called ‘literary houses’, with plans and pictures of what the houses in particular novels are like. I was curious to see them, but sometimes feel as if I’ve had a different idea in my head!
